Thursday, 10.29 at 6PM - OPEN PRACTICE: Image Play with Fernanda Rojas
El Studio becomes the artist's atelier for an intimate evening of making and connecting.
Welcome to the first edition of Open Practice, a series hosted at El Studio in collaboration with curator Paola Moreno. Each edition, a local artist shares their inspiration, process, and way of seeing, then the evening turns into a shared creative practice.
Part exhibition, part conversation, part making, it's an invitation into the artist's world to create by their side.
Set among art, music, drinks, and good company, it's less a class and more a chance to look closer, follow your instinct, and let something unexpected take shape.
No experience needed, just curiosity.
Image Play — First Edition
Fernanda invites you into her world of images: how she finds them, holds onto them, and gives them new life. Through her eyes, a photograph stops being a finished moment and becomes the beginning of something else.
Come see her work, hear her story, and make something with your own hands. The rest reveals itself on the night.
What's Included
An intimate conversation with the artist
A guided, hands-on creative practice
All tools, supplies, and materials
Music by local DJs Hermanos Otamendi
Bites and drinks
Your finished piece to take home
About Fernanda Rojas
Fernanda Rojas is a Venezuelan-American multidisciplinary artist working across photography, collage, and mixed media. Her visual practice explores memory, perception, and our relationship with images. She is interested in the fragmented nature of memory—how experiences overlap, shift, disappear, and are reconstructed over time. Through play and experimentation, she treats images as material, cutting and rearranging them to explore new relationships and ways of seeing.
