Dinnerware Wednesdays — Hand-Built Plates & Bowls 4 classes · Wednesdays starting July 8th
Join this intimate 4-week workshop dedicated to hand-building your own set of stoneware dinner plates and bowls — using molds or going freestyle to create your own. The intention is to work toward a cohesive set (ideally 4 pieces), with room to customize as you go, while enjoying the calming, meditative process of working with clay.
Over four Wednesdays, you'll learn the full hand-building process — forming, decorating, glazing, and firing. Each session builds on the last, so attendance at all classes is required.
This is a small-group experience limited to 10 participants, allowing for hands-on guidance and a slower, more connected pace. While the goal is to complete a functional dinnerware set, ceramics is inherently unpredictable — breakage can happen, and perfection isn't promised (that's part of the magic).
We'll meet:
Wednesday, July 8th from 7PM – 9PM
Wednesday, July 15th from 7PM – 9PM
Wednesday, July 22nd from 7PM – 9PM
Wednesday, July 29th from 7PM – 9PM
You'll learn:
Hand-building basics & workflow
Working with molds or freestyle forming
Making plates and bowls
Surface decoration
Glazing and finishing your collection
What's included:
All materials, tools, and equipment
Instructor guidance
All firings
Free and easy parking
Inspired by wabi-sabi, here nothing needs to be finished, perfect, or permanent. Forget about the outcome — the goal is simply to let your inner creative curious child come out to play.
We'll offer some beverages, and you're welcome to BYOB (we charge a corkage fee). Expect a few weekly hours of screen-free, meditative making in a beautiful oasis in the middle of Miami.
Our studio — our favorite creative third space — not home, not work, but a pause in between… a gentle rebellion against screens, schedules, and the pressure to perform.

Cancellation policy: This workshop is non-refundable. No make-up classes are available, as sessions are modular and build week to week. Please register only if you can attend all four Wednesdays. If need to cancel, we can give you credit to use towards any of the other activities in our studio.
