Saturday, 5.23 at 4:30PM - Plein Air Painting with Massimo Mongiardo

$60.00

Intro to Plein Air painting workshop with Massimo Mongiardo

We are so excited for this very special afternoon, painting the place where we create in the corner of 54th street has meant a new beginning for us, in the perfect spot.

In this plein air gouache class, we'll step outside and turn our attention to the building our studio calls home — its brickwork, windows, doorways, and the way light moves across it through the day. Gouache's quick-drying, opaque nature makes it the perfect companion for outdoor painting, and we'll cover everything from setting up your kit to capturing a scene before the light shifts. All levels welcome.

ALL SKILL LEVELS WELCOME!

Massimo will begin with a short 20-30 min demo where he will be going over the basics of how he construct’s a piece when painting from observation. After that you can either continue to paint along with me or explore the near by area and I will come around to check in on everyone.
