OPEN PRACTICE
WHAT IS
A recurring creative night where local artists open up their practice to the community. Each edition begins with a conversation about the artist’s work and process followed by a hands on activity inspired by their practice.
A CASUAL SPACE TO LEARN, EXPERIMENT, CREATE + CONNECT.
FIRST EDITION:
For the first edition of Open Practice, we welcomed artist Fernanda Rojas, who shared her creative process and how she transforms photographs into something new. By cutting, weaving, and reimagining images, she turns photography into a starting point for experimentation and expression.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Fernanda Rojas is a Venezuelan-American multidisciplinary artist working across photography, collage, and mixed media. Her practice explores memory and our relationship with images, especially how experiences overlap, shift, and are reconstructed over time.
Through play and experimentation, she treats photographs as material, cutting and rearranging them to uncover new ways of seeing.
