Make Your Own Game: Mahjong Set Edition
You know how special your grandparents’ heirlooms feel — the quiet magic of something they made, used, and loved in the “good old days”? Well, these are our good old days. Come create your own family heirloom, infused with personal symbols and meaning for generations to come.
In this 3hour workshop, you’ll design and hand build a full ceramic Mahjong set — a functional work of art meant to be played, shared, and passed down. You’ll sculpt your tiles with intention, focusing on form, consistency, and the tactile joy of working with clay, then underglaze your designs with color, symbolism, or personal markings that make the set uniquely yours.
This experience is about slowing down and creating something meaningful with your hands — a game that becomes a ritual, a memory, and a lasting heirloom. All firings are included, and your finished set will be ready for pickup after firing.

What’s included
All materials and tools are included. This is a minimally led experience — our team will help you get set up with the materials necessary and can assist you in the creation of your set — but you are the ARTIST!
Ticket includes a spot at the table for you and up to 1 more person to work on the set together.
You will be able to create a 144 piece set made out of stoneware (we will use offer 2 types of clay to choose from ahead of the experience) + basic glazing colors in underglaze to custom paint your tiles + tools to customize your set.
*** WE SUGGEST YOU PLAN YOUR DESIGNS AHEAD OF THE EVENT —- THINK OF IMPORTANT MEANINGFUL SYMBOLS OR A THEME YOU'D LIKE TO FOLLOW, FOR EXAMPLE: IF YOU GREW UP ON THE BEACH PERHAPS YOU WOULD LIKE TO MAKE YOUR SET MARITIME — WHAT SMALL STAMPS + STENCILS + SYMBOLS COULD YOU PREPARE AHEAD OF TIME AND BRING TO INCORPORATE IN YOUR CREATION? THE TILES WILL BE 1 TO 1.5 INCHES TALL SO ANYTHING YOU BRING MUST FIT.
Remember, nothing needs to be perfect, permanent, or even finished — this is about enjoying the process.

Included with your ticket is unlimited Coffee and/or Tea.
You’re welcome to BYOB your favorite drink - we charge a small $12 corkage fee per wine bottle / or six pack of beers which includes use of our wine glasses and fridge storage to keep your drinks perfectly chilled.
How It Works
Arrive on time and check in with us.
We will provide the ceramic tiles pre cut out for your convenience (and for consistency).
Take your time organizing each of the parts of your set (we will provide instructions for this) and start customizing each bundle. You can carve / stamp / or simply paint with underglaze.
Once you are done, we will collect your set and prepare to fire it / the back of the tiles will not be glazed.
Cancellation Policy:
