Wheel Throwing Intensive — A Mindful Clay Weekend in Miami

This 3-day intensive is built for total beginners who want to disconnect from screens, slow way down, and finally try the most grounding creative practice there is — wheel throwing. Over three afternoons at El Studio, you'll go from never having touched a wheel to centering, pulling walls, and trimming your own finished forms.
Nine hours of hands-in-the-clay time across one weekend means real momentum — you'll feel the difference between Day 1 and Day 3 in your own hands. Pottery is mindfulness in motion. Working with clay lowers cortisol, quiets the mental noise, and pulls you fully into the present.

Saturday, July 4 — Thoriwng a couple more pieces, trimming & finishing your pieces

Please park in the unmarked spots in our lot (pay to park) and enter through the double doors. Cost: $400
Includes all materials, tools, firings, glazing, and instruction.

The Aftermath — pottery takes time! Your pieces take approximately 6 weeks to process. Please don't contact us before then — we're a small team doing our best. You'll get a pickup email once they're ready.
Cancellations & Attendance Cancellations must be emailed to ocislyceramics@gmail.com at least 48 hours before Day 1. No refunds for no-shows or late cancellations. This is an intensive — there are no reschedules for missed days. Please only sign up if you can commit to the full weekend.
If you're unable to pick up your pieces on the final day, we'll hold them for one month.
